
Hanya was a research assistant working in the genetics lab in the UK Dementia Research Institute who helped to co-ordinate the genetic samples in the GENFI and LIFTD studies. She had previously done a BSc in Biochemistry from the University of Kent and an MRes in Molecular and Cellular Bioscience from Imperial College London. She left to study Medicine at Anglia Ruskin University.
